A fully restored rustic stone cottage with exposed old oak beams, in a 12th century village,4 mins. from the river Dordogne. The village of Berbiguières lies just across the river from St. Cyprien, it is laid out in a crescent around the southern ramparts of the Chateau de Berbiguières. The cottage, which is non-smoking, can accommodate up to 4 people plus baby, a cot is available free of charge. The cottage comprises. Ground floor: living area and kitchenette. First floor: main bedroom with 2 twin beds and en suite bathroom. Top floor: loft bedroom with 2 twin beds. Outside there is a porch with garden furniture, a courtyard with laundry room with second toilet, hand basin and washing machine. The village is designated by the French Government a “National Historical Monument” and offers an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. The English owners live permanently close by and will be here to welcome you on your arrival,help with any problems that may arise and offer you the benefit of their local knowledge. Whilst it is off the beaten track, Berbiguières is ideally placed for easy access to all the points of interest in the area. The surrounding terrain is of well wooded gently rolling hills and makes the most superb hiking country . Ten mins. away is the small market town of St. Cyprien with it’s supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars and the Sunday morning street market. Activities in the area include fishing,swimming,mountain biking, golf, horse-riding,hot-air ballooning etc. Bed linen and towels are provided in the all inclusive price. The terms are as follows:- Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday, 4pm. on the Saturday of arrival to 10am. on the Saturday of departure. The weekly rate is €550 high season,€450 mid season& €350 low season. A non-returnable booking deposit of €150 per week booked is required, the balance to be paid not later than 8 weeks before the date of arrival along with a returnable security deposit of €150. It is a condition of booking, that any and all occupants agree that the occupancy will be entirely at the occupants own risk.E-mail for more pictures.
